A reader is disappointed in the print edition of The Star for not covering Saturday's coordinated protests around the world in the 350.org activists' campaign for more action to counter carbon dioxide emissions. KansasCity.com had several items, including a photo gallery and video from The Associated Press.
"Even if there weren't a HUGE number of KCitians out, the fact that this was happening world wide should have been enough to warrant an article," she wrote. "But nada. Zilch."
I have to admit that I wasn't out and about that day, so I have no clue whether the Kansas City contingent's showing met the newsroom's normal minimum number to be considered for coverage. But, as longtime readers know, people often want to see the protests and demonstrations they care about covered. I heard similar objections when The Star didn't cover the "Life Chain" anti-abortion demonstration earlier this month.

The majority of Americans
The majority of Americans now realize that man made global warming was a hoax, and interest has declined. The activists who still believe in this, have been exposed as pseudoscientists, and profiteers like Al Gore. Global Warming supporters say the debate is over, they are correct, and they lost. You people will need to find the next big end of world event to protest over.
uh, no they don't
Not surprising you are misinformed.
"The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted Sept. 30-Oct. 4 among 1,500 adults reached on cell phones and landlines, finds that 57% think there is solid evidence that the average temperature on earth has been getting warmer over the past few decades. In April 2008, 71% said there was solid evidence of rising global temperatures."

Part of the reason for the declining numbers has nothing to do with science, since the evidence supporting anthropogenic global warming only increases, but with an ineffective media giving way too much balance to irresponsible idealogues.
You seem to be the
You seem to be the uninformed one, your push poll you cite does not mention the fact over 50% of Americans do not think global warming is man made, so the rest doesn't really matter. By the way, the earth has been cooling over the past 11 years, so again your information is incorrect. Go hug a tree and let the adults talk.
Make up your own facts much?
If not provide a credible source.
Like the global cooling myth you've been suckered into, the support for the majority of americans believing AGW is a hoax is most likely a misrepresentation of real data, in this instance, the Pew poll I just cited.
