A common refrain I've been hearing in the past few weeks:

"Your obits are stuck on April 5th. Where are those for the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th????"

This one's very frustrating some some visitors, because the obituaries are an important bit of information for many people.

People who access the Web via America Online's browser are reporting they they're seeing old obituaries, or names from other cities whose newspaper sites they've been visiting recently.

I reached out to Legacy.com, which provides obituary service for most major newspapers. This is their advice:

We have recently encountered a number of similar complaints from AOL users experiencing a caching issue when viewing our sites. However, we are unable to offer any additional assistance with this issue as it is a browser issue on the customer’s end.

Our recommendation is that AOL users try clearing their cache/refreshing their browser to see if that resolves the issue. If it does not, they can try viewing the site using a different browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, etc.).
