The summer camp guide that ran in the FYI section last week wasn't comprehensive. It didn't have information for camps from Rockhurst High School or the Kansas City Art Institute. The full guide is here, and here are those two institutions' programs:
Rockhurst High School
Rockhurst High School offers several academic classes, including a junior high enrichment program, Magis Academy, college essay writing course, study skills, high school placement test prep, PSAT test prep, high school credit courses and computer essentials for grades 7-12; June 3 - 28; $125 - $500. ART & MUSIC CAMPS
Rockhurst High School offers individual piano lessons for the beginning student in grades 1-9; June 3 - July 28; $100 for six 30-minute sessions. PERSONAL FINANCE CLASS
Rockhurst High School offers a personal finance class designed to help high school juniors and seniors learn financial responsibility and avoid common pitfalls. It covers bank checking and savings accounts, setting goals, budgeting, understanding interest payments, investments, credit cards, credit ratings and debt. Kansas City Art Institute
Kansas City Art Institute is offering six weeklong art camps June 10- July 26 for youth ages 6-14. Morning and/or afternoon sessions are available for $119 per class, per week. Supervised lunch and extended hours are available. Art intensives for high school students are also offered.
