I've spoken to more than one reader this week criticizing The Star for running too much about the Chiefs' search for a new head coach and general manager. Today's front-page story about the official introduction of Andy Reid as coach was too much for this reader, who I'll let speak for herself.

I've just rolled with all the articles on the front page because I know this town is crazy about the Chiefs. But today, your editors have gone into total overload. Why do you even have a Sports section if you're just going to put sports news out on the front instead? Is there nothing else going on in the world that you think the space is so cheap to have the same basic thing here and also on (Sports Daily's cover)?

Longtime readers know similar criticism are a perennial concern with many readers. I have to say that I, too, have felt the preponderance of Chiefs news on the front has been too much in recent days. I think it's over for now -- though we'll see what happens when a GM is hired.
